San Diego region prepares for more childcare closures if emergency federal funding expires

The struggle to find affordable childcare could soon get even harder as federal funding for childcare providers is set to expire at the end of September. The $24 billion Child Care Stabilization Program passed as part of the American Rescue Plan Act in 2021.
